Sneak Peek for the long weekend
[Sep 03, 2010]
Hi Guys,
We are very busy getting ready for the Dallas show next month and still working on the day to day business. It's been go, go, go around here and we are looking forward to this long holiday weekend. With that in mind, here are a few sneak peek photos that you will not find anywhere else.
First off is the D-M 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge, notice that the Judge stripes and logo are different. Check out the early advertising photos I included showing the "pre-production" Judge stripping. Also notice the ultra rare front driving lights at the front of the front fender. I'm real excited about this one.
Next up is a look at the 1971 Cuda from the upcoming Auto-Projects line. This line mimics cars that are found in a field or barn and are in need of a total restoration.
That's about all I can share for now, so have a great weekend.
Thanks,
Sean

M2 is now getting it's kicks on Route 66!!!
[Aug 05, 2010]
Hi Guys,
Castline just completed it's move from Arcadia to Azusa this week. As everyone can relate, moving your home or business is a lot of work. Between the packing, then unpacking, setting up office furniture, and computers we still have the day to day business to take care of. We are now just off Foothill Blvd. in Azusa, CA. This stretch of highway is part of the "Mother Road" or Route 66. There's even a great song that goes with Route 66, it's been sung by everyone from Nat King Cole to Depeche Mode.
Well, I got to get back to unpacking some more boxes. But here are a few sneak peek photos from your friends at M2.
Thanks,
Sean

Bunch of new stuff!
[Jul 23, 2010]
Hi Fellas,
It's been a while since the last blog entry, so I have included a bunch of new images of new parts. All the close-ups of the E/T rims are in 1/24 scale. I love them, just check out the classic 5-spoke without a cap, with a short cap and with a long cap. Also the E/T Fueler rims will be available in 1/64 scale very soon.
We have been very happy with the response our new 1/64 Studebaker truck has been getting. It seems everyone loves the tow truck, but just wait we have some more configurations for this casting.
The bright yellow 1/24 1957 Chevrolet 210 hardtop is coming very soon with brand new pie crust drag slicks. This yellow '57 Chevy is a personal favorite.
Finally, here is a shot of one of the new engines for the Ground Pounders line. The scoop on top of the blower is homage to the Surfers dragster & Greer, Black & Prudhomme scoops. I've been wanting to do this scoop back when I was working at Muscle Machines.
That's about it for now, have a great weekend everyone.
Thanks,
Sean

46th L.A. Roadsters Show
[Jun 21, 2010]
Hi Fellas,
Over the course of a year I attend many car shows, cruise nights and swap meets for work, you just never know what car might pull in to take photos of. There's really only two shows that I really look forward to attending, The L.A. Roadster Show & the California Hot Rod Reunion. This past Father's Day weekend was the 46th L.A. Roadsters show. Here are a few photos from the show.
Thanks,
Sean

New Auto-Drags sneak peak
[Jun 18, 2010]
Hi Fellas,
Wow, half the year is almost gone. We are working very hard to bring many new items to the market shortly. So start saving your nickels & dimes.
Here are some images of the upcoming 1/64 scale chase car for the Auto-Drags release 04. It's our brand new 1969 Pontiac GTO. It features a 400 cubic inch Ram AIr engine, optional hood tach, optional hide-away headlights, steel wheels with poverty caps (or dog dish caps) and a red bench seat interior. The GTO in the images is a pre-production piece. The only real difference is that the production piece will only have the Pep Boys logos. The Goodyear, Mr. Gasket & Hays Clutches will be removed. Also the hood tach will be white and the hood snorkels will also be white.
M2 would like to take this time to wish all the fathers a Happy Fathers Day this Sunday.
Thanks,
Sean
P.S. Manny, Moe & Jack look sweet on the trunk!

New stuff coming soon!
[Jun 10, 2010]
Hi Guys,
We have a bunch of new stuff coming in the next few months. I am really excited about the next new 1/24 scale casting, especially the "tear drop" hood (and NO, it's not a Thunderbolt). Also we will have our first 1/64 scale true convertible casting very soon.
Below are photos from the Cars & Coffee show down in Irvine. Our car show photographer Jim took these photos of a bunch of small or mini cars. Some of them are kind of neat, but just the thought of trying to squeeze into one makes my back hurt.
Thanks,
Sean

Fords Forever
[May 12, 2010]
Hi Fellas,
Well, here are some photos from the 2010 Fabulous Fords Forever Show at Knott's Berry Farm on April 25. The show was great, of course there where a ton of Mustangs to look at. I was a little disappointed with the turn out for the 1930's - 1940's Ford and Mercury's. I believe that the Model A pancake breakfast was also on the same day. So that may explain the low turn out of the older Fords. Overlapping shows are kind of becoming a problem here in So Cal. In the spring & summer there are so many shows to go to on the same day. I believe that it affects the quality of some shows, so sometimes you just have to be lucky and hope the car you need photos of shows up.
Thanks,
Sean

New Blog, Finally
[Apr 30, 2010]
Hi Fellas,
I know, it's been a while since my last post. We are working on a lot of new items and can't really show any photos just yet.
April has been a uber busy month for me. I normally don't go to too many car shows during the year. We actually have a photographer that attends a ton of shows and takes reference photos for us, his name is Jim. Well, Jim wasn't able to attend the Chrysler Spring Fling at Woodly Park in Van Nuys, CA this year. This was my second year straight for this all MoPar show. To be honest, I was a little disappointed with the lack of 1950's Chrysler products. Sure, there where many MoPar muscle cars, but finding good reference for say a 1957 Dodge is pretty hard to do.
Hope you enjoy the photos. Next week I will try to post some photos from the Knotts Berry Farm Fabulous Ford show I attended last Sunday.
Thanks,
Sean

[Mar 04, 2010]
Hi Guys,
Well we are now in March. Wow, 2010 is flying bye already. We are all pretty excited about one of our upcoming releases. You guessed it, FLAMES!!! All six Auto-Thentics cars are Black With Flames. Information and complete images about this upcoming release will be made available soon. After all this is a sneak peek.
Thanks,
Sean

Detroit-Muscle sneak peek
[Feb 26, 2010]
Hi Guys,
Well, the factory is back from Chinese New Year and gearing up to produce more M2 Machines. It was a nice to have a small break in the normal production for me. I got caught up on a lot of new items and things I have been wanting to get too. Well let's get down to business, here are some new Detroit-Muscle sneak peeks. You will not see these images anywhere else, they are straight from my desk.
Thanks,
Sean
